Safavieh is a four-generation, family-owned home furnishings company that has evolved from its roots as an antique Persian rug exporter into a global manufacturer and retailer. The company, founded in 1914 by Kazem Yaraghi in Isfahan, Iran, is now based in New York and run by his grandsons. Safavieh grew from a small artisan business to a global corporation with its own manufacturing facilities on three continents and vast warehouse space across multiple countries. Safavieh designs its products in its New York studios and produces its designer-quality rugs in major weaving centers, including India, China, Pakistan, Nepal, and Persia.
