What Makes a Good Kids Rug

A rug in a child's room has a harder job than almost any other rug in the house. It needs to survive spilled juice, crayon drops, toy trucks, years of rolling around, and the occasional art project gone sideways, while still looking like it belongs in a thoughtfully designed space.

The best kids rugs prioritize a few things: durable, easy-to-clean synthetic fibers; a pile height that's comfortable for playing on the floor without being so deep that dirt and debris disappear into it; and a pattern that's engaging for kids without being so tied to a specific age or interest that it's outgrown in two years.

Easy to Clean
