How Bulk Pricing Is Determined
Bulk discounts are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and can vary by manufacturer, product and overall project. There is not a single discount percentage that applies to every large order.
Our goal is to review the complete order and identify the most cost-effective way to structure the purchase and shipment.
Large Rug Orders
Large purchases are reviewed as complete projects rather than simply applying a coupon or standard percentage discount to an online shopping cart.
Single-SKU Orders
If you need the same rug and size in quantity, provide the SKU and required number of units so we can review availability and manufacturer-specific pricing.
Mixed Orders
Projects can include multiple rugs, sizes, colors, collections and manufacturers. We review the complete product mix when preparing pricing.
Inventory Planning
For larger quantities, we can review current availability. If a selected product cannot support the required quantity, comparable alternatives can be considered.
Multiple Properties or Destinations

Depending on the products and quantities involved, an order may ship by parcel carrier, LTL freight, or a combination of both.
Shipment configuration is reviewed as part of the project because freight requirements can influence the overall economics of a large order.
For freight deliveries, useful information includes loading-dock access, forklift availability, liftgate requirements, receiving hours, appointment requirements, limited-access conditions and the number of delivery locations.
Commercial Product Requirements
BuyAreaRugs carries products from many manufacturers, and product specifications can vary considerably. Not every rug is designed, tested or warranted for every commercial application.
If your project has specific requirements for materials, construction, commercial warranties, fire-test documentation, indoor/outdoor suitability or other manufacturer specifications, include those requirements with your request.

Do all large orders ship by LTL freight?
No. The appropriate shipping method depends on the products, rug sizes, quantities and destination. Some orders ship by parcel carrier, some by LTL freight, and some use a combination of both.
